Southern California

Our trip across America started on Monday when we landed in Los Angeles and we were greeted by our great friend, John, who played our host for the next few days throughout Southern California.  We started in Malibu and made our way down the coast to San Diego, stopping to visit several other friends along the way.

Our first week was filled with beaches, sun, and water, fresh sea food, lots of Mexican food, shopping, and visiting friends.  Eric even took a shot at surfing!  It was both my and Eric's first time to Southern California, and I loved the coastal feel mixed with a Mexican influence.

I think it's safe to say we made the most of our time and we certainly understand why our many friends from the area are always bragging about San Diego.
